THE NATURE OF THE STRATEGIC FIT BETWEEN BUSINESS AND IT

There have been enough researches done in the field of strategic fit between business and IT. A widespread yet substantiated point of view is that such continued alignment is important and bears a positive impact on an organization's profitability, both in the long as well as the short term. However, most of the studies that prove this point lack multi-level alignment effects. Multi-level alignment ensures dynamic and contiguous harmony so that exploratory studies can evaluate the as-is states of business and IT. This research sheds the light on applying multi-level strategic fit between business-IT. The eventual objective of the study is to analyze and address issues that are faced by organizational sustenance.
