Abstract

This paper defines convective heat transfer characteristics of high -pressure syngas in mines. The heat transfer performance of frigid syngas effects the capability of the power producing a system with combined coal gasification cycle (CCGC) directly, it is essential to attain the heat transfer characteristics of high-pressure syngas in the frigid. Convection Heat transfer in the cooling section of pressurized coal gasifier with the membrane helical coils under high pressure is experimental explored. High- pressure single gas (N2 or He) and their mixture (N2 + He) gas serve as the experiment media in the test pressure range from 2.5 Kg/cm2 to 10 Kg/cm2. The outcome shows that the convection heat transfer coefficient of high- pressure syngas is affected by the symmetry of flow around the coil and gas composition of which the working pressure is the most significant factor. The average convection heat transfer coefficients for different gases in membrane helical coil are systematically analyzed. In Indian Underground mines, Coal mines, mineral ore mines syngases at high pressure and high temperature found in large quantities. This syngas is harmful, highly toxic, and flammable gas which will be present in the atmosphere which may cause many mischances. Therefore it is necessary to reduce the content of syngas from mines in the atmosphere with the help of membrane helical coil. So this work will be useful for those who are working in the field of the coal mine, underground mines and mineral ore mines
