Abstract
The main objective of the project is to fabricate an hybrid metal matrix composite using aluminium 6013 alloy as matrix and silicon carbide, aluminium oxide as reinforced particles with different compositions based on weight percentage fraction. Stir casting technique is used in the production process silicon carbide and aluminium oxide were preheated up to 700 c to improve the bad wetability. Spark ignition test is used to check the purity of the alloy. Rockwell hardness is used to check the hardness number of the specimens fabricated also pin on disc apparatus is used for the wear test to prove the results of increased mechanical properties of the composite.
