Extradition in criminal law

Extradition is an important tool in achieving effective international legal cooperation with foreign countries. The question of the sectoral affiliation of extradition, which, despite its related nature, is generally an institution of criminal procedure law. The content of the concept of extradition is revealed, the author's vision of extradition is given in a broad sense, which covers the procedures for extradition of persons for criminal prosecution and execution of a sentence, transfer of convicted persons to serve a sentence or compulsory treatment. Speaking about the issue of belonging to the institution of extradition to a particular branch of law, it should be borne in mind that the question of the nature and place of extradition in the legal system is controversial. The article is devoted to the analysis, systematization and disclosure of the requirements for the extradition of the person who committed the crime, with the aim of ensuring the legality of the extradition and the determination of its obligation.
