HOMOEOPATHIC APPROACH TO BAPTISIA TINCTORIA

Background: Baptisia tinctoria is traditionally used polychrest remedy. Since 18th century it is well known plant due to many pharmacological activities. It is also an important homeopathic remedy useful for various diseases. Objective: In the present review, attempt has been made to gather the botanical, ethno botanical, taxonomy, chemical constituents, and homeopathic pharmacological information of homeopathic medicine Baptisia tinctoria. Study Method: Information was collected from various researches on animal and human models regarding actions of baptitoxine. Homoeopathic prescribing areasBaptisia tinctoria of have been studied and analyzed from books, websites and search engine Google scholar. Result: Baptisia tinctoriahave prominent action on reducing inflammation, fever, and septicemia and in the treatment of zymosis and salmonellosis in animal and human models. Conclusion: It is concluded from present review that Baptisia tinctoria, a well reputed herbal and homeopathic remedy for treatment of zymosis, blood poisoning, typhoid, fever, salmonellosis and immune stimulant.it could be a best alternative to antibiotics. However further studies are required to validate these findings.
