Abstract

Historical aspects of studying the problem of rabies in the world are presented from ancient times to the present day. Great contribution of the Abu Ali ibnSina (Avicenna) and other outstanding representatives of the East in to the study of the epidemiology of rabies are indicated. There are reflected historical data of Louis Pasteur's activity and scientific works on the development of the first anti-rabies vaccine. Widely presented materials from native scientists results of fruitfully working in the field of developing new vaccines; from the stages of the development of new technologies for the production of rabies vaccines. The historical stages of the formation of an antirabic service in Uzbekistan are studied.
