Priazovskiy region ecological situation – problems and solutions. Air

The main sources of air pollution with solid impurities are natural and industrial processes. In this case, the list of the key polluting chemical compounds includes carbon oxides, sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, hy-drocarbons and others. Despite the recent industrial production significant decline air pollution level has not decreased either in cities or in Ukraine as a whole. And Mariupol remains a city with unsatisfactory environmental situation. For example, the air pollution in Mariupol is estimated by the integrated index of air pollution as «high» and has a negative impact on human health. First of all, this is due to the outdated technologies used, both production and cleaning, lack of effective control and pollution monitoring as well as the low level of environmental consciousness. The article considers improvement of the existing and creation of new ecologically safe technological processes ensuring rational use of natural resources, as well as ensuring environmental safety of natural objects by reducing pollutant emissions and developing technical solutions and technologies for reducing the concentrations of organic and inorganic pollutants to the MPC level. To reach these purposes it is necessary to determine the most dangerous pollutants, the sources of their formation and their concentrations in industrial wastes; to substantiate scientifically and develop ways to improve the ecological state of natural objects; to develop processes that will remove the organic and inorganic nature pollutants; to develop scientific and technical solutions and technologies improving the ecological state of natural objects and protecting them from pollution with hazardous substances thrown out by various industrial enterprises and to provide their economic evaluation
