Abstract
In the present study, the effects of electron beam butt welding on microstructure and micro hardness of CuCrZr alloy plates has been discussed. Many experiments were conducted on two welding schedules of considered values of parameters and then the work-pieces were subjected to various metallographic and micro hardness procedures to reveal the matrix information from the fusion zone of these alloys. Observations indicated that the alloy plates expose that the heat input given to the alloy shows major impact on the grain size at the fusion zone. The micro-hardness of fusion zone had showed not more than that of parent metal.
