Abstract
Utopianism as a special form of consciousness inherent in the person it is immanent, during crisis eras it becomes more active, transformed to various projects of transformation of society and can lead to catastrophic consequences for all society. Experience of the Russian revolution of the beginning of the 20th century shows danger of hobby for the utopian ideas of the most educated part of society capable to lead masses. In article the analysis of the ideas of the Russian philosophers of the beginning of the last century of P. I. Novgorodtsev, G. Florovsky, S. L. Frank, N. A. Berdyaev in which the phenomenon of utopianism and its main contradictions is exposed to judgment is given. Communication of utopianism with the idea of social progress and also with a problem of relationship of the personality and society comes to light
