THE COMBINATION OF LIBERAL AND DEMOCRATIC IDEAS IN THE SOCIO POLITICAL LIFE OF UZBEKISTAN

On the basis of constitutional principles and conceptual ideas specified in the Strategy on Actions on the development of Uzbekistan for 2017–2021 and works of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the present article is devoted to the analysis of harmonious combination of liberal democratic ideas with the transformations taking place in all fields. The essential part of the article is dedicated to revealing the peculiari- ties of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan in terms of its conformity to the liberal democratic ideas and values. It is being argued that it is the Constitution which should lay the foundation for the formation and promotion of liberal and democratic principles in any state, in Uzbekistan in particular
