A STUDY ON PFTIG WELDING PROCESS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF MECHANICAL PROPERTIES

Abstract
PFTIG welding process is mainly used to provide a quality welding. This method provides the best quality of manufacture. TIG is the most commonly used method for joining two similar or dissimilar metals, but their quality will be less. So, to improve the quality, PFTIG method is used. Here, the reference of sixty papers is considered, and their outcomes are listed. The properties of the base metals are improved each year. The factors like, electrode angle, rate of gas flow, welding current are taken for considertaion. Each result says that the properties are improved more and more. In some cases, for safety purposes, the shielding process is done. TIG welding that is activated can be deployed to enhance the combined penetration and ratio depth-towidth parameters. It also minimizes the angular interruption of the welding. During the welding process, the high-speed camera system and oscillograph capture the instantaneous arc shape and arc voltage. Improving the power of welding will influence the penetration level. Especially, when using stainless steel as the base metal, the mechanical properties are increased to the maximum extent.
