Abstract
The present experimental investigation deals with the fabrication of un-treated wood plastic composite with different wood species (honne, neem and saguvani) at different ratio (v/v) by using hot-press method. The thicknesses of 8 mm wood plastic composite specimens were made after thoroughly mixing wood waste and phenol formaldehyde in a rotary blender followed by hot-press method. According to ASTM standards, physical and mechanical properties of PF based wood plastic composites were evaluated as a function of mixing ratios. The experimental result shows the technical feasibility of phenol formaldehyde based wood plastic composite. The linear regression analysis was used to analyze the effect of PF content on honne, neem and saguvani wood composite.
