Abstract
Sugar industry is one of the important industries of India for earning Foreign Exchange. Because of being highly labour intensive industry, it needs to concentrate more on the area of quality of work life of employees. Quality of work life (QWL) is one of the major parts for the employees' motivation in organizations. People can deliver their best potential if the QWL is improved and satisfactory. This research study attempts to find out the impact of age, gender, income and experience on quality of work life of sugar mill employees. Data was collected from 357 employees of both cooperative (135) and private (222) sugar mills of Tamil Nadu. With the help of SPSS, t- test and One Way ANOVA were used to test the hypotheses. The results of the study revealed that age has a positive impact on QWL as the older people are having higher degree of quality of work life than younger.
