Abstract
The modeling of an early growth of a monocrystal of leucosapphire is carried out. Calculation of geometry of the front of crystallization was carried out taking into account fusion convection in a cup and translucency of a crystal. For each of considered values of height of a crystal, also temperature distribution in case of the stationary growth of a crystal and its rotation with a speed of 5-30 rotations per minute were calculated. Modeling was carried out on the basis of a software package of CGSim. The influence of crystal rotation on depth of cone germination in fusion, the moment of changing mechanisms of growth.
