The data obtained from the books are analyzed by content analysis technique. It is seen that according to the types of the expressions of violence, verbal violence, physical violence, sexual violence and emotional violence are already listed. As a result of the analyzes made, itis seen that the expressions containing the violence language are found more frequently in the foreign writings. In the direction of research findings, it is suggested that attention should be paid to the quality of the reading texts to be included in the children's publications and textbooks to be prepared for the pupils, with the content to support the moral development of the child and quality child publishing should be encouraged. In this study, because works are selected and analysed according to certain criteria, the present study results should be evaluated by excluding the values in other books which are not reviewed.
