Abstract
The content and organization of the process aimed at forming the future navigators' text-forming competence are revealed in the article. The corresponding methodology is based on the priority of the text-centric and multicultural approaches, taking into account the principles of interdisciplinary integration, communicative mobility, text correspondence, orientation to the future profession of a cadet, etc. The program of the research training provided for two directions for its implementation. The first one was realized within the framework of the cycle of humanitarian and socio-economic training during the mastering of these training courses: “The Ukrainian language (for professional purpose)”, “The English language (for professional purpose)”, “Culturology”, etc. The second one was implemented in the process of teaching the disciplines of the cycle constituting professional and practical training. The basis for the formation of the cadets' text-forming skills and abilities became: the deepening of knowledge about speech concepts; the improvement of the ability to use language units in accordance with style, genre and type of speech, the synthesizing of explicit and implicitly professionally important information in the text, the modeling of the text-forming activities; the working out of the skills to produce texts of different genre and style orientation. It is proved that the acquisition by the cadets of the experience of the text-forming activity became possible due to the use of interactive, project and information-communication education technologies. This application contributed to the optimization of the educational process. During the research training preference was given to various organizational forms, to be more precise: lectures, practical, individual studies, independent work, individual and group consultations, conferences, didactic games, etc. A number of exercises were developed that envisaged the removal of redundant information from the text, the formulation of statements based on information from several texts, the compilation of texts from the proposals submitted, the forecasting of the text content on the proposed beginning, the deployment of the thesis in the statement, the compilation of the annotation, the transformation of the text in accordance with a given speech style, the modeling of the text according to the proposed plan and the like. The use of exercises and assignments on a textual basis enriched the cadets' vocabulary with professional vocabulary, created the necessary conditions for the students to obtain professional and socio-cultural experience. The verification of the effectiveness of the developed methods was carried out in stages by means of various types of control. At each stage of the research training, current controlling was used, at the end of the first and second stages intermediate controlling, at the end of the research training – the final one, which made it possible to regularize the qualitative and quantitative indicators in positive dynamics.
