Abstract
The article discusses the biological diversity of algae on the soil of Andijan. Andijan is considered as the center of the Andijan region and is located in the center of the Fergana Valley, in a region of favorable climatic conditions. Although this city is located on 1 % of the territory of Uzbekistan, the population of the city is 10 % of the country's population. For this reason, the human impact on the natural regions of the city is very high. In such cities, there is an increasing need to conduct research to improve the environment. In particular, the researches devoted to the soil algal flora of the city take an important place in the environmental assessment of the urban ecosystem and the protection of biodiversity.
