Abstract
This paper addresses the potential use of Rice Husk Ash (RHA) as a cementitious material in concrete mixes. Rice mill produces RHA after burning rice husk at particular tempreature mostly in between5500c-8000c.We get approximately 18-22% ash from rice husk by weight. Te result has shown that if concrete made with RHA as a partial cement substitute to level of 10%to 37.5%by weight the concrete is good in compressive strength and in workability. Also, the use of RHA would result in a reduction of the cost of concrete construction. This paper reviews the research investigations during the past three decades. Further research is being conducted by the authors to determine the compressive strength, tensile strength, workability initial and final setting time of RHA blended cement concrete in future. The chemical Analysis of RHA sample and Physical properties of RHA.
