Abstract
The paper analyzed the legislative support of the technical regulation of the market of household washing machines. Considered regulations that govern the relationship of producers and consumers in this area. It is shown that the current regulatory requirements for the technical characteristics of washing machines do not take into account the interests of consumers. Solving the problem of protecting human health from the harmful effects of the components of chemical compounds that remain in textiles after washing can be done by developing and implementing national technical regulations. It is proposed to evaluate the environmental friendliness of washing machines by the indicator “ash content of detergent components after washing”.
