Abstract

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is most popularly used multicarrier transmission technique adopted in wireless communication system having the advantage of spectrum efficiency and combats the adverse effects of channel and provides high data rate. However one of the challenging issue is its high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) of the transmitted signal which results in degradation of efficiency of power amplifier. In this paper we propose a Hybrid PAPR reduction technique based on Zadoff-Chu Matrix Transform and Selective Mapping. Simulations are carried out using MATLAB, comparative PAPR analysis of ZCT, Conventional OFDM , Selective Mapping and proposed Hybrid Technique is performed for number of subcarriers with better reduction in PAPR with out affecting BER performance
