Abstract

The success of foreign economic activity depends on solving the problems of producing competitive products in the right amounts, developing infrastructure to ensure the export of agricultural products and processing industry, and also on the country's access to new markets - the expansion of export geography. The purpose of the article is to analyze Ukrainian exports of agricultural products to determine effective ways of organizing and managing the sale of agricultural products in foreign markets. The directions of increasing the efficiency of marketing activities of agricultural enterprises were revealed. The dynamics of exports and imports of all types of goods in Ukraine was estimated. The relative collapse in Ukraine's exports by types of goods in January-August 2018 over the same period last year has been revealed. The analysis of the geographical structure of exports of agricultural products of Ukraine was carried out and it was revealed that the countries of Asia and Africa are its most importers. The main trends of export operations for individual crops of agricultural production were revealed and it was established that Indonesia and Egypt are the largest importers of wheat, and the Saudi Arabia and China are the largest importers of barley. The possible ways to improve the efficiency of sales of products of the agricultural sector were justified. Based on the analysis of export operations, it was determined that Ukraine has significant potential and opportunities to increase exports of agricultural products and food products, the production volumes of which significantly exceed the capabilities of the domestic consumer market. At the state level, it was proposed to develop and begin to introduce a program of import substitution in the agricultural sector, which will stimulate the development of domestic production of those groups of goods that can be produced in Ukraine (cattle, pigs, poultry, dairy, vegetables and fruits).
