Abstract
The present article discribes cognitive linguistics, language acquisition takes place through social interactions where goals to be achieved are non-linguistic, such as asking for another hamburger, exchanging money at a bank, sending a letter, etc. While participating in these interactions, an individual has to communicate intentions, concepts and meaning with others, which means he or she has to process input and produce language, thus gaining experience in learning the language.
