Abstract
Abstract : Organic mood disorder is defined as persistent mood changes due to physical causes such as a chemical imbalance rather than psychiatric causes. The duration and severity of the condition is determined by the nature and location of the cause. Using an illustrative case of organic mood disorder mania type, we discuss about clinical features, differential diagnosis and treatment options of organic mood disorder.
