Abstract
The results of its investigation and the synthesis of the new alkylphenolate additive are presented in the article. AKI-173 additive consists of calcium salt of condensation product with alkylphenol, formaldehyde, ammonia and salicylic acid. The presence of nitrogen atom and carboxylate group in the structure of the additive molecule provides its high functional properties. The high functional properties of AKI-173 additive allow it to use for preparing modern motor oils
