Synthesis of silver nanoparticles using extract of chokeberry

Abstract
The extract of chokeberry fruits was obtained and its reducing ability to silver ions was investigated. The optimum parameters for synthesis of silver nanoparticles in solution using an extract of chokeberry fruits were determined: pH 8.8, the time of synthesis — 30 minutes, temperature 70°C. The resulting sols of silver nanoparticles were characterized by yellow color. The optical absorption spectra of silver sols formed were characterized by an absorption maximum at 420 nm. The size of silver nanoparticles was determined by SEM.
