Abstract
Objectives:The aim of ourstudyis to expose our center experience in ARVD/C diagnosisbased onCMR. Methods:Aretrospectivestudy, carried out over a period of twoyears (February 2012 to March 2014) of 31 patients with suspected ARVD/C based on CMR findingsusingrevisedTask Force Criteria (TFC). Results:The meanagewas 44,9 +/- 13,6 yearswithextremesrangingfrom 18 to 64 years. The male to female ratio was 2,9. All patients presentedwitharrhythmiaswith a majority of ventricular extrasystoles (48%) and ventriculartachycardia (39%).11 patients (35%)wereclassified as confirmedARVD/C.All patients withconfirmed ARVD/Chad RV dilatation. The mean RVEDV was 173 ml +/- 70.The meanejection fraction (EF) of RV was 54%+/-9,8. 90% of patients had RV dyskinesiamostlylocated in the lateralwall (60%). Delayedmyocardialenhancementappeared in 86 % of cases. Fatty infiltration of the myocardiumwasobservedin 14% of cases and wasalmostlocated in the lateralwall. Conclusion:This study shows the CMR profile of ARVD/C in Moroccan patients. Our results are based on a smallnumber of ARVD/C patients, and furtherstudieswith more patients and prospective design are warranted.
