The Study and Preservation of Information of Party Mass Media in the National Library of Ukraine named after V. I. Vernadsky (press 1991-2002)

The process of filling library collections with periodicals of political parties, studying and preserving the information of these publications is analyzed. The features of functioning of the party press in the period of 1991-2002 are noted. At the same time, attention is focused on the inadequacy of studying the information of the party press. Employees of the NBUV study important information and keep it for future users. Parties’ printed media contains comments on legislative acts, statistical materials, various documents (parties’ programs, materials of party congresses, plenums, conferences, etc.), memoirs, diaries, scientific, journalistic and literary works.
