Abstract
All modern methods of decomposition of time series are based on the assumption that they are the result of linear composition of orthogonal components with constants or variable parameters in time. Application of these methods for decomposition of time series in hydrometeorology, economy and other unbalanced systems is incorrect. Experience of use of nonlinear decomposition is stated and adequacy of received results is shown in the article.
