Abstract
Workers around the world are exposed to harmful chemical factors in the working process. Chemicals have various toxic effects on the human body. An important task is to identify and eliminate these dangers. Ensuring healthy and safe working conditions is one of the main objectives of the European Union labour legislation and a number of directives and regulations have been adopted in this area, some of which are presented in this study. Preventing the harmful effects of chemical agents is the task of employers and they often face difficulties in identifying the hazards and their effects on the body and the environment. This review article lists some of the largest publicly available databases that can be used and provides a comprehensive scheme for assessing the risk of chemical factors.
