M. A. Sholokhov`s "And Quiet Flows the Don" is in the interpretation of Russian cinema

The article is devoted to the consideration of four adaptations of M. A. Sholokhov's epic novel "And Quiet Flows the Don". Each film adaptation is made in a certain cultural and historical period of the USSR and modern Russia.In this regard, all four films differ in the approach to the depicted, the distribution of accents, the author's directorial position.
