Abstract
In addition to analyzing theoretical approaches to the study of emotional intelligence and emotional barriers in communication, the article presents the results of an empirical study of the interrelation of these two concepts using the example of salesperson-consultant communication with customers. Analyzed theoretical ap- proaches to the concepts of "emotional intelligence" and "emotional barrier", as well as there is information about their structure and practical manifestation. We selected the necessary tests to measure emotional intelli- gence and emotional barriers
