Abstract
A case of Disulfiram Ethanol reaction presenting as cerebrovascular accident. A 31 years old male was given with disulfiram with the aim of making him abstain from alcohol. He developed serious complication like left hemiparesis with global aphasia as a manifestation of Disulfiram Ethanol reaction, with neuroimaging finding of subacute infarct involving right temporo-parietal region at right MCA territory. This case is presented here for its rarity in occurrence and, to sensitize about potentially serious side effects of disulfiram in alcoholics.
