Abstract
Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide, in this article we will discuss the history of anatomic approach of the colorectal cancer, the surgical importance of the mesentery of the colon, how to approach the surgical resection of the colon with maximizing the lymph nodes harvest targeting the lympho vascular sheet contained within the mesentery.
