Abstract
The article describes the diagnostic laboratory environment as an optimization tool to determine a preschooler natural talent potential. The article's fundamental idea is to minimize the stress resulted from the child diagnostic procedure by arranging a specific diagnostic environment as close to the child natural environment as possible. It is achieved by dividing the diagnostic laboratory into seven + one zones according to seven basic human activities (seven zones according to A.I. Savenkov + one relaxation zone). Provision of children with the possibility to choose “their own” comfort zone and their choice of a zone to manipulate the “real” attributes of the activity they are interested in serves as a search signal of natural talents and natural inclinations of a child for a specific sphere of human activity.
