Abstract
The wireless sensor network is the decentralized type of network in which sensor nodes sense information and pass sensed information to base station. The underwater acoustic network is the type of sensor network which is deployed under sea oceans to sense underwater conditions. The node localization and energy consumption are the major issues of underwater acoustic networks. In this paper, various techniques of node localization are reviewed and analyzed in terms of certain parameters.
