Abstract
During the years of testing, a new variety of awnless brome “Koktas” provided a fairly high yield of
dry matter (41.6 c / ha) and seeds (3.2 c / ha), which exceeded the standard by 17.6 and 14.3 % respectively. The chemical composition and nutritional value in the tillering and flowering stages were different. But according to the concentration of dry matter of energy and protein value, the content of mineral substances, the new variety meets all the requirements for feeding farm animals.
