Abstract
This article examines the theoretical foundations of pedagogical modeling, its essence and effectiveness. Modeling, being one of the methods of scientific research, is widely used in pedagogy. The modeling method is integrative, it allows to combine empirical and theoretical in pedagogical research, i.e. to combine the experiment with the construction of logical structures and scientific abstractions during the study of the pedagogical object.
