Vectors of improving the ukrainian state-owned banks development

Abstract
The article focuses on the analysis of priority vectors for the Ukrainian state-owned banks development. The purpose of the study is to summarise and substantiate perspective development vectors of the domestic state-owned banks, taking into account the peculiarities of their activities in modern Ukraine. The research is based on the following general scientific methods: analysis, structuring, comparison, grouping, generalization, systematization. The article presents the author's vision of the main strategic vectors for domestic state-owned banks development; the emphasis is placed on singling out the vectors for improving the activities of the state-owned banks, i.e. privatization (measures aimed at reducing the state property share in the banks), corporate governance (measures aimed at reforming the corporate governance system in the banks), and problem assets (measures aimed at resolving the imbalance issues in the banks' assets structure). At the same time, the paper outlines the productive measures aimed at efficient improvement of the domestic state-owned banks development. The obtained results allow to work out the comprehensive concept of the further development in the state banking sector of the Ukrainian economy system; apart from this, the results can be applied to practical activities of the domestic state-owned banks.
