Epiglottic abscess is a rare sequele of acute epiglottitis. Its a life threatening condition which requires emergency management which if not done may result in fatality. Respiratory infection, exposure to envionmental chemical or trauma may lead to epiglottitis and epiglottic abscess very rarely. In our case Pt was immediately managed by emergency tracheostomy followed by endoscpic drainage of epiglottic abscess in OPD. This emphasizes on need for emergency aiway management by doing tracheostomy facilitating incision and drainage in case of epiglottic abscess as a day care procedure
