PERSPECTIVE OF GEOTHERMAL EARTH ENEGRY USE IN NORTH-WEST DISTRICT OF RUSSIA

Geothermal energy, which is related to alternative energy resources, is one of the fast-developing world energy resources. It is used both in Russia and other countries. Nowadays problems of energy saving and economical use of fuel are paid much attention, which proves relevance of the topic. Goal of the research is an analysis of economical efficiency of geothermal energy use in North-West region of Russia using an example of heat pumps. Authors considered expediency of Earth's geothermal energy use in North-West district using an example of European states. Analysis of specific factors characterizing this type of energy, as well as its extraction and used technology is done. Scientific, technical and technological problems of geothermal energy are reviewed.
