Abstract

The issues of increasing energy efficiency of heat supply have been considered in this article. The problem relevance of the of pipeline materials thermal insulation improving is associated with the heat-shielding properties deterioration during its exploitation, due to various physico-mechanical and physico-technical environmental factors causing a change in the structure of the heat-insulating layer material. Previous work has been mentioned, where reduction of thermal energy losses was achieved by applying a thin film coating to the surface of the existing thermal insulation. This work purpose is the experimental evaluation of a heat-insulating thin film coating thermophysical characteristics, such as conductive thermal conductivity, radiation and convection, and an assessment of each component influence on the heat flow density reduction. Experimental studies have been carried out to determine the thermal conductivity coefficient, the integral radiation coefficient, and the air permeability of a thermal insulation structure. The research of the heat-insulating structure thermal conductivity with a thin-film coating was carried out by the method of stationary heat flow passing through the thermal insulation sample. The heat-insulating thin-film coating thermal radiation research resulted in determining the integral radiation coefficient by the radiation method. The heat-insulating thin film coating air permeability was determined by a method based on the determination of the certain volume air passage time through the test sample under a known air pressure. The result of the influence of thin film coating in the construction of thermal insulation for heating networks pipelines on heat losses reduction of due to a decrease in the heat flows density are presented. It has been established that the heat-insulating material air permeability after a thin-film coating application on its surface has the greatest influence on the decrease in the heat flow density, which will generally increase the efficiency and reliability of the pipelines heat-insulating structures in heat supply systems.
