Abstract
The paper discusses the impact of digital technologies and professional competencies of specialists and workers in the agricultural industry to increase production efficiency. The study highlights a group of factors to the greatest extent influencing the formation of human capital in a digital economy. The authors found that these elements create the need to focus efforts on the transition to a new scientific and technological structure in which the use of digital technology is an integral part of people's daily lives
