Abstract
Hybrid composite materials are the great potential for engineering material in many applications. Hybrid polymer composite material offers the designer to obtain the required properties in a controlled considerable extent by the choice of fibers and matrix. The properties are tailored in the material by selecting different kinds of fibre incorporated in the same resin matrix. In this paper, the thermal properties of GFRP, CFRP, and Carbon and Glass fibers reinforced epoxy hybrid composite will be studied. The composites using are all unidirectional. The compression moulding technique will be adopted for the fabrication of hybrid composite materials. The thermal properties such as Glass transition temperature, Thermal conductivity, Specific heat capacity are calculated using Dynamic mechanical Analysis (DMA), Differential scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) respectively.
