Abstract
The archetypal image of Don Juan is presented in one-act play "Don Juan in Egypt" by N. Gumilev in poems and in a parody of interpreting. His predecessors, such as A.K. Tolstoy, A.N. Bezhetskiy, A.O. Mordvin-Shchodro, added new situations for the manifestation of classical features of European prototype. Gumilev created a behavior model of the image-myth after death that passed through the hardship, but saved his archetypal features and the image that could "recognize" himself through the prism of self-irony in burlesque text.
