Abstract
The modal analysis was carried out using finite element software (ANSYS Workbench 15) for below knee prosthesis (BKP). The prosthesis was modeled using specialized CAD software (Solidworks). The natural frequencies were calculated using the Block Lanczos method. The natural frequencies and mode shape were calculated and extracted for the tenth mode using modal analysis. The numerical results were verified experimentally for the first natural frequency. The first natural frequency was found to be (69.446Hz) and the experimental natural frequency was found to be (58.32Hz) that give a variation between the numerical value of the natural frequency to be (19.07%).
