Abstract
The article deals with the issue of railway transport safety from a strategic aspect. In turn, the concept of developing railway transport safety and the possibility of transferring model solutions to the economic field are presented. The article also focuses on highlighting the most significant criteria in terms of the development of railway safety. All stages in the realization of a relevant strategy are characterized, with a particular emphasis on the conditions for their efficient implementation.
