Abstract

The newspapers and magazines, which are among the most important sources of literature history researches, draw a literary portrait of the period in which they were published and provide the completion of the bibliographies of the authors and poets. Papağan and Resimli Dünya, published by Orhan Seyfi Orhon, and, Akbaba published by Orhon and Yusuf Ziya Ortaç, are significant periodicals in the history of Turkish press and literature. Because they have wide publication staffs and high circulations, and constitute a ground by publishing the literary texts shaped with the humour. In these periodicals that have been evaluated, it is encountered that there are two different poems with Mehmet Âkif Ersoy's signature: “Tramvay” and “Ramazan'da Direklerarası”. It is seen that these poems, which have similarities with other works of the poet in terms of style and content, were published in Istanbul while Mehmet Âkif was not here. They were published by Orhan Seyfi in the humorous publications in which Mehmet Âkif's writings did not take place. And there is a contradiction between the dates of writing and copying. In this study, “Tramvay” published in 1923 in Akbaba and in 1926 in Resimli Dünya, and “Ramazan'da Direklarası” published in 1925 in Papağan will be examined. It will be discussed that poems belong to Mehmet Âkif or not, and will be tried to clarify the suspicions that Orhan Seyfi may be the original author of the poems.
