Abstract
The metabolic response at nutritional deficiency, serious infectious pathology is characterized by a metabolic disorder. Among derangements of metabolism the protein and amino acid metabolism is of great importance. All derangements of metabolism are accompanied by the changes in amino acid pool. The work objective was to investigate the content of free amino acids in blood serum of children, teenagers with nutritional deficiency and tuberculosis patients. A total of 159 children, teenagers aged 13-17 years were surveyed. Three study groups were formed of them:
st group ? tuberculosis patients receiving treatment at the children's service of the State health care institution “Stavropol regional clinical TB dispensary” (n = 31); 2nd group ? patients having nutritional deficiency (n = 32), 3rd roup ? healthy with sufficient nutrition defined at ndergoing assessment at the Municipal Autonomous Health Care nstitution “Municipal Polyclinic No. 3" (n = 30). The content of free amino acids in blood serum of children, teenagers of these groups was studied. The marked level decrease of free amino acids in blood serum of tuberculosis patients was discovered in comparison with healthy and children, teenagers with nutritional deficiency. The differences are revealed in the content of free amino acids in blood serum of children and teenagers with nutritional deficiency of the I-II degrees and healthy. Studying changes in the content of free amino acids in blood serum at nutritional deficiency and children, teenagers’ tuberculosis offered an opportunity to get overview of the essence of a metabolic imbalance and define the need of adding amino acids to diet as resolving actions at these states.
