Hermeneutic approach in pedagogy and its principles

Abstract

The problem of improving the quality of the future teacher training in accordance with the strategic goals of modernization of the educational process in pedagogical institutions of higher education in Ukraine is actualized in the article, the process being based on the humanistic paradigm, which requires the use of innovative approaches such as the hermeneutic one. The scientific conceptual directions of determining the essence of the phenomena “hermeneutics”, “understanding” are considered. They were considered in the context of: philosophical, sociological (M. Bakhtin, V. Dilthey, G. Gadamer, M. Haidagger, V. Schleiermacher and others), psychological (A. Brudnyi, K. Slavskaya, S. Rubinstein and others) and pedagogical (A. Zakirova, I. Kaplunovich, I. Levitskaya and others) sciences and its influence on the improvement of the quality of the professional training aimed at a future teacher in pedagogical institutions of higher education. The definition of the phenomenon “pedagogical hermeneutics” is presented. The expediency of the development of the pedagogical understanding and the observance of the dialogical nature of communication in the pedagogical process, the use of its forms: dialogue, discussion, dispute, controversy, etc. are substantiated. The definition of the “interpretation” phenomenon is presented, and the significance of the pedagogical understanding of the hermeneutic approach to Musical Pedagogy is revealed. The main essence of the hermeneutic approach in pedagogical activity is considered and the tasks of the teacher-hermeneutist are defined, as well as their significance while implementing the professional activity organised according to the humanistic paradigm into the educational process. The tasks of a Music teacher in the context of the hermeneutic interpretation of musical art works are revealed alongside with the peculiarities of the hermeneutic principles within the pedagogical activity: the organization of the understanding space in the pedagogical process; establishing interpersonal relations between teachers and students on the basis of the dialogue, reflection, tolerance, empathy; developing the student's ability in self-understanding, self-identification with the pedagogical community and awareness of oneself as a future professional. The importance of using the hermeneutic approach to achieve the effectiveness of educational activities has been revealed.
