The coaching approach to the disclosing and improving of the future pre-school teachers’ speech potential

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of using innovative technologies in professional speech activities aimed at the future educators of preschool education institutions, namely, coach-technologies. The purpose of the article is to substantiate theoretically the need of using coaching technologies in the speech training aimed at the future educators, as one of the elements constituting the methodological support for the development of their professional and methodological orientation. The tasks of the research were as follows: to determine the content of the concepts “the coaching approach in the professional speech activity of the future preschool educators”, “speech coaching”; to characterize the main structural elements of the speech coaching intended for the future teachers of pre-school education institutions. The notion “the coaching approach in professional speech activities of the future preschool educators” is defined as the personality-oriented interaction of higher school teachers and future educators aimed at the formation of their speech knowledge and skills (communicative, cognitive, technological, project-predictive, linguistic, evaluative-controlling). The article provides a definition of the concept “the speech coaching”. The stages of the speech coaching as well as their content are presented. The main structural components of the speech coaching aimed at the future educators (motivation- and values-centred, cognitive, operation- and activity-based, reflexive components) are described. The main principles of the speech coaching intended for the future educators were these ones: the principles of responsibility; flexibility; partnership; hierarchy. The article presents some types of the speech coaching (individual, group, long-term, periodic, personal, educational, full-time, distance, skype-coaching, video coaching). The prospect of further scientific research of the designated problem dealing with introducing the coach-technology into the speech development of the future educators is seen in the detailed description of each stage of the coaching technology.
